My daughter failed in Maths(F) and Accountancy(FT) in the exams
conducted in March 2009.Please clarify the below as early as possible:
1)Can she appear for both the failed subjects in July/Aug-2009 ?
2) If she passes in both , can she join regular Degree course this year itself ?
3) What does FT beside the marks stands for ?
4)Should she write all the 5 subjects or only the failed two exams ?
5) As she is finding difficulty to cope up with Maths , can she write
Informatics by changing the subject ? Presently, she is in Commerce
group.
Appreciate an early reply.
Thanks and regards

1)Can she appear for both the failed subjects in July/Aug-2009 ?
Ans. NO, if she is declared FAIL in marksheet. YES, if she is declared Compartment.
2) If she passes in both , can she join regular Degree course this year itself ?
Ans. Yes if she is compartment student and not declared FAIL. Required to contact concerned college for provisional/temporary admission.
3) What does FT beside the marks stands for ?
Ans. FT stands for Failed in Theory (accountancy has some marks for internal project work)
4)Should she write all the 5 subjects or only the failed two exams ?
Ans. She has to repeat the year with all subjects if she is declared FAIL in Marksheet.
She may apply from NOS and she has to appear in only 2 or 3 subjects. Exams will be in OCT and result will be declared in Dec 2009. visit www.nos.org for details.
5) As she is finding difficulty to cope up with Maths , can she write
Informatics by changing the subject ? Presently, she is in Commerce
group.
Ans. She can do so at NOS but may not do so at CBSE

I am applying for re-verification of marks for Accountancy. In case she gets a passmark, will she be categorised in Compartment as she still has to write Maths?
