I have a query regarding Q12 of Comprehensive Test Series Maths Chapter 1&2 (Class X) The question is as follows:

Q.12 If the polynomial x4 – 6x3 + 16x2 – 25x + 10 is divided by another polynomial x2 – 2x + k, the
remainder comes out to be x + a, find k and a.

Remainder after long division is wierd - something as
(2k-9)x + k2-8k+10
Is 2k-9 to be equated to 1 for getting given remainder of x+a
This will give k=9/2 and substituting k in constant term we get a=-23/4
Is it right? Please confirm.
