What to study:old books or new books?

I am in 10th now (Gulf)and will be doing my board in March 2008.
I have a question we got downloaded the text books from NCERT.NIC.IN. But in the school certain subjects they are using the old readers and giving us the notes do we have to study from the new reader & refer to the last year readers also( I mean old readers)

CBSE 2008 exams for class 10 will be based on new NCERT Books, so it is must to study the new downloaded books. There may be some old lessons as it is, specially in case of English reader and supplementary reader course-B. It is better to tally lessons with the teacher's copy.
